Summer Plans

I am currently watching my 5th out of 8 games so far in the Euro 2008 cup, despite being in the middle of exams. This is most inconvenient as my GCSEs were a Euro year (and also Olympics), A2s were sat in a World cup year and my 2nd year at uni (this year) is another Euro and Olympic year. Due to my taking a year out to do Impact (a volunteer year for my church) next year it will also mean my finals will clash with another World cup. If only my parents had taken this into consideration my grades could have been much better. :p

After that rambling introduction, I suppose I should talk about something deep and meaningful. However, todays thrilling post will simply be informing friends of my Summer plans so it is easier to meet up with people around those dates. (Sweden just scored, hoorah!)

Right so I finish my exams on the 19th which although it is only 9 days away seem miles for now, I will then be having lots of driving lessons as my test is on the 1st of July (unlucky Dan, I may just beat you to it yet!) and going to see John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton in Hyde Park on the last weekend of June. IOW, I'm in London that weekend so I'd love to see some of you city folk then. :)

July has Mobilise (a Christian conference for students) in Brighton (7th to 12th) with my house being invaded with extra people (Sweden scored again! very messy this time though), the following week (14th-18th) I am in France with Alison, Ruth Preston and maybe Georgie for some girlie time.

2nd to 7th of August is Newday! Camping in Derby, wahey! Then 24th to the 31st of August I'm helping out at a kids camp in Ireland with Simon which should be fun, right before starting my Impact year on the 1st of September!

So pretty busy, with 4 weddings (at least) to attend in between means this summer should be a great one with enough 'time-off' to chill at the Level and the beach. (Oh yes, generally I'll be staying in Brighton for any time not indicated so please come visit me (there's a spare room in my house).

Lots of insightful thoughts may follow after exams, :) xxx

It had to start somewhere...

After much persuasion from my friend Simon, I have finally succumbed to the world of blogs where the world can read your thoughts and believe they know your intimate self via a few well chosen words. OK, so I'm a sceptic blogger but knowing me I will end up praising blogs in a few short weeks: I'm terrible at bearing a grudge.

I now have to learn all the ethics of blogging such as:

  • Do you mention peoples names in your blog or make it obvious in your descriptions (note: I'm aware I've already mentioned Si Fi)
  • How regular will I chose to make it? And what is considered 'normal'? Gaps of more than 2 months and you are not commited to it but surely daily posts mean you are spending way too much time procrastinating.
  • Where do you stop the emotional outpouring onto the internet? How much is too much to tell?

I'm sure I will figure out these things in due time but on my journey there I appreciate your grace in forgiving me if I overstep lines in trying to find them.
